SKY: PRIDE

[ Aim]

To share the experiences and raise awareness of the challenges and triumphs that our LGBTQ+ community within Sky have experienced

[ Motion Brief ]

To come up with designs for typography that would sit within an edit and could also work as standalone statements used on socials

[ CONCEPT ]

The goal was to create something that felt personal rather than a corporate tick-box.

I customised Sky’s typeface breaking up all the lines in to colours from the pride flag. All the lines animate and connect together to form letters, supporting the idea that whilst each person is an individual – together they form a community


[ ASSETS ]

To keep it on brand, the Sky text and official branding were incorporated in to the design


[ EXPLORATION ]

From the cutting room floor. Early explorations using Sky’s spectrum colours in an expressive format.

How could we portray a sense of ‘coming out’ / going from hidden to becoming more visble through typography and colour and experimenting with textures


[ FINAL VIDEO ]

The typography was used throughout the promo, with design support from Thea Koutas on spectrum animations
